Eternal Verity for Chapter 8

I am a blessing of Grace!

Sacred Direction

Father Sky - Order, joy, wisdom, divinity. Great Spirit dwells high above like an eagle in the sky. Vastness, majestic beyond all knowing and understanding.

A Prayer for Graces Divine Embrace

Yielding to spirit,

surrendering to rhythmic waves of love,

I stand exposed, naked before the Beloved

as my senses become alive.

My true self is known, loved and embraced.

A feeling of ecstasy entices me in;

I know there is all the time in the world for love.

I surrender to Grace’s touch.

Enraptured, blessed and fulfilled, I vanish into

my Beloved’s gaze, bringing me to the edge of beyond all other.

Flush from the heavenly touch rippling through my being,

I merge with the warmth as summer moves right through me.

Unfolding myself to the slow attentive hands of life,

Spirit softly becomes my Lover.

Where ego does not dwell,

entwined and mingled in the intimacy the Divine,

Heaven and Earth join as one as me.

All secrets now known, false pretenses dissolve,

I open wide as cathedral doors expand into the Infinite

and I feel the pulse of life crescendo within me.

I glow, glistening from Divine intoxication;

I languidly express an ineffable joy

from the swelling of the Divine Embrace.

Grateful to be in loves Divine Embrace,

I surrender to this dazzling inner display

of God lightning its way through me, as me,

and I am touched, O so deeply, I whisper,

and so It is.

The crown chakra is the seventh chakra and it is at the top of the "chakra ladder" which starts from the root chakra that grounds us on the Earth and progresses upward to the Sahasrara which connects us with the universe and the Divine source of creation.

Sahasrara is located at the crown of the head. The gift of this chakra is experiencing unity and the selfless realization that everything is connected at a fundamental level.

The energy of this chakra allows us to experience mystical oneness with everyone and everything in nature.

There is no intellectual knowing at the level of seventh chakra, but there is serenity, joy, and deep peace about life.

You have a sense of knowing that there is a deeper meaning of life and that there is an order that underlies all of existence.

The "way of the crown chakra" is the way of going beyond the limits of your own ego. It is the way of transcending the ego and knowing that all of creation is interconnected at a fundamental level.

A level that some call the "Akasha" or "Zero Point Field", or just "the Field". This is the fundamental level of connection.

According to Tantric philosophy, the seventh chakra is both a receiver and giver of energy and consciousness. It receives energy to sustain life and it gives back the personal energy to unite with the collective pool of consciousness.

It is the meeting point between finite (the body and the ego) and infinite (the universe and soul).

It is the place where time and timelessness intersect and where death and eternal life meet.

The thousand petal chakra embraces an attitude of gratitude for one's life.

When we realize that everything is interconnected and that we are part of the larger scheme of life, we begin to live with gratitude, faith and trust, rather than filled with fear and anxiety.

We are guided by the higher power and we feel divinity from within and from without.

The challenge of this chakra is to liberate the spirit - open to the divine - and at the same time stay firmly rooted deep in the ground.

Zen Story

Without Fear

During the civil wars in feudal Japan, an invading army would quickly sweep into a town and take control. In one particular village, everyone fled just before the army arrived - everyone except the Zen master. Curious about this old fellow, the general went to the temple to see for himself what kind of man this master was. When he wasn't treated with the deference and submissiveness to which he was accustomed, the general burst into anger.

"You fool," he shouted as he reached for his sword, "don't you realize you are standing before a man who could run you through without blinking an eye!"

But despite the threat, the master seemed unmoved. "And do you realize," the master replied calmly, "that you are standing before a man who can be run through without blinking an eye?"

Natures Beauty

A priest was in charge of the garden within a famous Zen temple. He had been given the job because he loved the flowers, shrubs, and trees. Next to the temple there was another, smaller temple where there lived a very old Zen master. One day, when the priest was expecting some special guests, he took extra care in tending to the garden. He pulled the weeds, trimmed the shrubs, combed the moss, and spent a long time meticulously raking up and carefully arranging all the dry autumn leaves. As he worked, the old master watched him with interest from across the wall that separated the temples. When he had finished, the priest stood back to admire his work. "Isn't it beautiful," he called out to the old master. "Yes," replied the old man, "but there is something missing. Help me over this wall and I'll put it right for you." After hesitating, the priest lifted the old fellow over and set him down. Slowly, the master walked to the tree near the center of the garden, grabbed it by the trunk, and shook it. Leaves showered down all over the garden. "There," said the old man, "you can put me back now."
